Hi, I am Sravan Nerella and I am a fledgling photographer living in NJ, USA. I did a three year course in photography from New York Institute of Photography.
I am an avid nature photographer and love flowers and general nature macro photography. Shooting flowers became my passion and I did it exclusively for two years. Since then I have started doing other types of photography but flowers remain my first passion and what I turn to when I am in a slump in photographic creativity.
I started Arushi studios when I started doing Indian Dance photography 5 years ago. I started out doing it for friends and now have started doing it professionally as well for the past 3 years (as of 2011).
Since I started doing dance photography I got more interested in doing portraits. I started doing portraits of children first as I love interacting with children and love taking their photos. I try to capture the range of emotions of the child by taking time to get him/her comfortable with the photo taking process.
Now my main aim is to gain more experience with portrait photography and lighting.
